Psychodrama and motivation for change for domestic violence victims

Abstract
This study was to find out how effective psychodrama can be to help domestic violence victims enhance their motivation for change, and the result was that psychodrama improved their readiness for change, as well as the importance of change and the confidence for change. Readiness for change was found statistically significant. It is positively related with action stage which indicates that people do in action what they wish to change in real life settings. In this sense, this result indicated that psychodrama has significant effect upon domestic violence victims to get ready for doing some practical change. In addition, protagonist experience is crucial in enhancing motivation for change, especially when they wish for eliminating negative feelings or negative behavior pattern.
